Video surveillance
Classic Video surveillance
Classic video surveillance systems are built
using analogical cameras wired to traditional video cables.
Normally, in addition to the video signal, these systems also transport the video
signals to management systems of video servers and monitoring stations.
IP-based Video surveillance
IP-based Video Surveillance systems are built using digital cameras of many type and resolutions, e.g. fixed, dome, black and white, colours, night/day. Structured cabling of various types is used: copper, cat 5e or cat 6, or optical fibre. Traditional management systems can consist of a video server and IP converters, or by an IP management station with a server and management software.
Wireless IP-based Video surveillance
cWireless IP-based Video surveillance systems are similar to the system described above with one main difference: the transport system is wireless and it uses technology 802.11b/g or hyperlan on frequencies of 2.4 GHz or 5.4 GHz, with point-to-point or point-to-multipoint Bridge devices.
